I am honored to serve as Dean of Students at Ignite School. With more than 20 years in education, I began my career teaching English Language and Social Studies, drawing on my bachelor’s degree in English Literature to create literacy-rich, inquiry-driven classrooms that build critical thinking and cultural awareness. Over time, my work expanded into student leadership and supervision, where I developed and supported mentorship programs, peer-mediation initiatives, and student leadership workshops that strengthened attendance, behavior, and academic engagement. I am deeply committed to student wellbeing and inclusive practice, and I work closely with teachers, parents, and community partners to ensure every learner feels known, supported, and challenged. I also share best practices in literacy instruction and student support at regional education forums. In all that I do, my goal is to build safe, respectful learning environments in which every student can thrive.
