Kindergarten (KG-1 and KG-2)
Our Early Learning program in Dubai takes a student-centered inquiry-based approach. Students are encouraged to learn through both play and formal learning activities. Students leave Kindergarten with the ability to communicate with peers, to co-operate on large tasks, to work independently, to solve problems amicably and to function with self-confidence.
The program includes the academic skill areas of literacy, mathematics, science and social studies. These disciplines are integrated into daily learning activities, rather than being taught as separate subject areas. Art, physical education, health, library, computer studies, creative movement, Arabic and Islamic Education (focused on Islamic Culture) all form part of the Early Learning program and offer a wide range of opportunities for students to learn and grow.
The most important skill that we focus on in our early learning classrooms, is language development. Our students develop the ability to speak, communicate, ask & answer questions, write recognize letters, sounds and words….and some learn to read. Effective language development leads to greater success in subsequent learning and life experiences. Strong language skills prepares our young learners to reason, problem solve, compromise, negotiate, resolve conflict and debate, which are high-level skills that lend themselves to success in future academics settings and life.

Our young learners are a valuable part of our school community. They participate in the same experiences as our 1st through 5th grade learners, including…Arabic, Islamic, P.E, Art, Library, Technology and French. They also participate in after-school extra-curricular activities, school events and field trips. Our Student utilizes state-of-the-art elementary school facilities which includes an art studio, black box theater, technology lab, science lab, and makers studio at our Early Learning Center in Dubai.

Accreditation
Ignite School, as an American curriculum school in Dubai will ensure compliance with the mandatory KHDA requirements in order to be categorized as an “American Authorized School”.
Ignite School is committed to earning accreditation as quickly as possible from the Commission of International Education of NEASC. We aim to commence the process in the 2020/21 academic year.
