Building Character and Confidence
- Ignite School centers its focus on academics and character building
- Self-Discipline, perseverance and teamwork are makings a of confident student
- Our classrooms incorporate both individualism and group cooperation for students to connect, communicate and understand one another
- Through individual and group based academic learning our students become more interested in their studies while also making memories with their classmates
- In grades K-5 we utilize many group based academic learning, in grade 5 into the upper grade levels we begin shifting to individualized based academics
Grade 5 and the journey to High School
- Grade 5 at Ignite School provides the final steppingstones before entering the upper grade levels
- It is in this academic year that we begin teaching our students the importance of time management and consistency in their classroom
- We begin shifting further into more individual based academics while keeping the group work exclusively to projects and presentations
- We do this to further develop their character and independence so that the students can become self-sufficient
Technology in the Classroom
- Ignite School has a very strict technology policy, unless instructed by the school itself, students are not allowed to have technology on campus
- We strictly enforce this policy to ensure the safety, health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and community
- Technology use will only occur in the classrooms as instructed by the school specifically for MAP testing which we provide an iPad to students, Computer Science class which will take place in computer labs and AI education which will take place between the classrooms and labs
